We've been programming, designing, and maintaining websites and web applications since
the internet became popular in the dial-up days of the mid nineties. Before the advent of
high-speed connections not so long ago, websites and web applications had to be developed very
carefully to make sure they loaded as quickly as possible and to make them accessible to a
wide range of users. The graphics had to be used sensibly, the code had to be
lightning fast, and above all, everything had to fit well together and be easy to use.
In other words, everything had to be simple and everything had to be perfect.
Nellum combines the "old school" technical ideals of simplicity and perfection
with the detailed, fresh graphic designs that today's technologies give us the pleasure to
enjoy. The result: Web content that just can't be ignored!
Nellum Technologies was formed in the fall of 2004 by Gavin Mullen in response to an
increasing demand for his skills and services and the skills and services of his friends,
family, and contacts. Gavin has been the sole purveyor of programming, project management,
and systems administration services to his father's company, Outdoor Nova Scotia, since 1995.
Through Nellum Technologies, Outdoor Nova Scotia, the Dept. of Biology at Dalhousie University,
and the Dept. of Health Informatics at Dalhousie University, Gavin has developed dozens of
websites and web applications from conception to completion.
The success of Nellum Technologies and its projects can be attributed to Gavin's father and president
of Outdoor Nova Scotia, Vaughn Mullen, as well as the technical training and teaching provided by
the Faculty of Computer Science at Dalhousie University. Nellum Technologies remains close with Outdoor Nova Scotia,
Dalhousie University and other highly skilled and like-minded
organizations and persons to insure that your website gets the job done.
